Let's go fly a kite
The girls and I finally were able to get outside after a long stretch a very cold weather. The skies are blue and beautiful and there's the perfect wind to fly a kite. We rode our bikes to the park singing "let's go fly a kite and quote from Mary Poppins.

Lady Tramaine & The Stepsisters
Walking by the carousel we stumbled upon the wicked stepmother and stepsisters from Cinderella. They were my personal favorite... Lady Tramaine walked along saying, "Look at me! How great and wonderful I am!" It was hilarious. Anastasia kept falling off the horses on the carousel and the girls just ate it up! We had to get a pic!!!!

Elsa and Anna... Pure Magic
WALT DISNEY WORLD PART 1...
This will be the first post of our time in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World this summer. We got to the park early and closed it down at 11pm. It was an amazing day! There is no other word for it other than... MAGICAL.
The girls got their first princess moment with Anna and Elsa. You should have seen their eyes. They were locked onto these two beautiful princesses and stood in awe. They smiled the whole time as they had a conversation about being sisters, about their favorite kinds of chocolate, and how Madi has freckles just like Anna.

Enjoying the spring
Madi and I have enjoyed today. It has been a pleasant break from the cold gray days. We spent the day outside pulling weeds and watching the spring flowers grow. How I love my sweet little girl!

The Yucky Stuff
Madison is the pickiest eater I've ever known! So our mealtimes often include conversations about why it's important to eat good healthy food.
A couple days ago Madi said something that brought some much needed levity and humor...
"Mom, I always love the yucky stuff you make!"
Aah, thanks honey! That makes mommy feel so much better! Pin It

Happy Halloween '13
1 Sleeping Beauty + 1 Rock Star = Really Cute Trick-or-Treaters!
I am tired. I used to sprint from house to house as a kid filling up as many buckets with candy as humanly possible showing no signs of fatigue. Tonight I think I need to ice my back after walking (not running) through our neighborhood with the girls. But boy did they have fun... literally jumping out of their skin excited. After every house they would turn around and scream out whatever kind of candy they got. And we did it with good friends which is also a blast... and total chaos.

Kathy and I were totally rocking our costumes!!! FYI... that is not my real hair. |
Our friends had the best Mario costumes... and she made them herself. So fun! |
Sheer JOY! |

Candy corn pumpkins
The girls had a lot of fun decorating these little jars and filling them with candy corns. The only problem now is trying to get them to not eat all of the candy corns!

What you need:
2 empty clean glass jars with lids
Black electrical tape
Small squares of green fabric ( I used scraps)
Two small branch clippings
Two fake green leaves
Hot glue
2 bags candy corns
Cut the electrical tape to make the faces. Then you will hot glue the fabric onto the lid around the edges. Hot glue the branch to the top of the lid along with the leaf. Fill the jars up with Candy corns and you're all set!

Little Ballerinas
The girls both asked to try ballet this Fall and they were so precious! To watch them prance out onto the dance floor was the cutest thing I've ever seen. It was as though they were real ballerinas walking onto a big stage, they were in HEAVEN!
Here's Madi's little class...
And here is Avery's... she really was so cute! The video was during the modern dance part of the class where the teacher asked them to make up a dance that expressed their gratitude for the pianist who played for them. I think it is pretty awesome!
